Gold medal winners Neil Simpson and Andrew Simpson (Banchory, Kincardineshire), receive MBEs for services to skiing in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
On a recent trip to Scotland my parents were delighted to meet Neil and Andrew Simpson, gold medal winners in Super-G (Super Giant Slalom) at the Paralympics in 2022.

It was a lovely surprise when Mum sent me these photos. Mutual ski friends introduced my Mum and Dad to the Simpson brothers. Mum showed Neil and Andrew Ski A to Z, and they signed Mum’s copy of the book.

Congratulations Neil and Andrew on the gold medals in Beijing and receiving honours in such a special landmark year – you’re an inspiring team.
Here are Neil and Andrew’s profiles on GB Snowsport.
Scotland is part of the skiing foundation of Ski A to Z and skiing there helped make me a hardy skier. Our parents often took my brother and I to race in Scotland when we were young, both on snow at Glen Shee and Aviemore, and the awesome dry slope at Hillend, Edinburgh. I also trained in Austria with the Dolphin Ski Club. I hope to get up to Scotland to ski in Scotland this coming winter and to meet more skiers to share Ski A to Z with.
